Stainless steel capillary tubes are available in a wide range of sizes and wall thicknesses and can be customised to suit different application requirements and design specifications.
Stainless steel capillary tube commonly used materials are austenitic 300 series, duplex steel, nickel alloy, etc. 304 stainless steel capillary tube is the most economical one, with high tensile strength and elongation, suitable for general scientific instruments and medical equipment. 316 and 316L stainless steel capillary tube contains more nickel and molybdenum, can improve its resistance to chlorides and acids and alkalis, suitable for seawater, chemicals, and other highly corrosive occasions. 316L stainless steel capillary tube also has a lower carbon content, can reduce the risk of intergranular corrosion, suitable for high temperature and high pressure occasions. 316L stainless steel capillary tube also has a lower carbon content, can reduce the risk of intergranular corrosion, suitable for high temperature and high pressure occasions.

Advantages for downhole control lines:
Highly corrosion-resistant: stainless steel capillary tubing is able to resist corrosive environments such as high salt and sulfur downhole, ensuring the long-term stable operation of control lines.
Extremely high strength and pressure resistance: even at extremely fine dimensions, stainless steel capillary tubing can withstand pressures of up to thousands of PSI, making it suitable for deep and ultra-deep wells.
Excellent flexibility and resistance to bending: this tubing is able to adapt to complex downhole geologic structures, passing through tiny spaces and connecting downhole equipment.
Precise fluid control: the small diameter of capillary tubing makes it an ideal fluid transfer medium, enabling precise control of the amount of chemicals injected and optimizing the effectiveness of downhole operations.
Application Areas:
Downhole chemical injection: In oil and gas well production enhancement and maintenance operations, the precise injection of chemicals through stainless steel capillary tubing can effectively prevent the formation of hydrates and alleviate problems such as well clogging.
Downhole Pressure and Temperature Monitoring: Capillary tubing can be used as a connection line for sensors to transmit downhole pressure and temperature data in real time, helping engineers to accurately grasp well conditions.
Control of downhole safety valves: In some high-risk oil and gas wells, the capillary tube can be used to transmit control signals and remotely operate downhole safety valves to ensure operational safety.
An increasing number of projects in the oil service industry require the use of continuous lengths of stainless steel control lines. They are used in a variety of applications, including chemical injection, hydraulic control, instrumentation umbilicals and flowline control.
MTSCO offers products for all of these applications, helping customers reduce operating costs and improve recovery methods.
We can provide continuous tubing for stainless steel, duplex and nickel alloy control lines. Sizes, lengths, pressure levels, packaging methods, etc. can all be customized to improve your oil recovery methods and reduce operating costs.
2205 capillary tube
2205 capillary tubes, or 2205 coiled tubing, are made from the duplex stainless steel 2205, which has a chromium content of approximately 22 percent, a nickel content of approximately 5 per cent and a molybdenum content of approximately 3 per cent. This composition gives the capillary tube excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical strength.
