Advantageous Material Characteristics:
Extremely High Corrosion Resistance: Alloy C22 has excellent corrosion resistance, with the ability to resist corrosion from sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid and many other types of chemicals. This makes it very popular in the chemical processing industry.
Oxidation Resistance: In addition to its strong corrosion resistance, Alloy C22 has excellent oxidation resistance and is able to maintain stable performance in high temperature environments.
Pitting and crevice corrosion resistance: This alloy resists pitting and crevice corrosion in chlorinated environments and remains intact even under very harsh conditions.
Machinability: Although Alloy C22 is a high-performance alloy, it has relatively good machinability and can be formed and machined by conventional metalworking techniques.
Applications:
Chemical Processing Industry: Alloy C22 is commonly used in the manufacture of chemical reactors, piping, heat exchangers, distillation towers and other equipment that comes into contact with chemicals.
Oil & Gas Industry: In offshore oil and gas extraction and processing, Alloy C22 is used in valves, pipelines and other critical installations to ensure corrosion resistance in harsh marine environments.
Environmental technology: Alloy C22 is also frequently chosen for highly corrosive environments in wastewater treatment and desulfurization projects.
Pharmaceutical industry: Thanks to its excellent cleanliness and corrosion resistance, Alloy C22 is used in equipment and piping in the pharmaceutical industry to ensure the safety of drug production.
Food and beverage industry: Alloy C22 is also suitable for food processing equipment and storage containers, especially when handling products containing acids or salts.
Power industry: In denitrification and desulfurization systems, Alloy C22 is used to create corrosion-resistant components to handle gases containing corrosive chemicals.
